Etimologia

Il nome deriva dal mwdggreco mwdwmweaἔξ, mweqèx, cioè mwegda, attraverso, mwewmwfaἓχω, mwfqècho, cioè mwfgavere, possedere, tenere, e infine dal latino mwfwcentrus, cioè centro; all'incirca dovrebbe significare: mwgache ha un (bel disegno) centrato.

Distribuzione

Le due specie oggi note di questo genere sono state rinvenute in mwgwMadagascar, nazione della quale sembra essere un mwhaendemismocite-ref-araneidae-1-0[1].

Tassonomia

Dal 2012 non sono stati esaminati esemplari di questo generecite-ref-araneidae-1-1[1].

A dicembre 2013, si compone di due speciecite-ref-araneidae-1-2[1]:

• mwngExechocentrus madilina mwoaScharff & Hormiga, 2012 - Madagascar
